My Bonny Love: 5 Places I'd like to see in Scotland (that I've not)

There are still a few places in Scotland I've yet to see and have not yet. Since starting work, its been busy, though I think I've not mucked about, travelling because I'm tight fisted when it comes to money. That shall be no excuse now! I will make sure I see these places in the next year!

5. Islay.

I'm not sure what it is about this island that's drawn me. The first time I came to Scotland, well over two years ago, I wanted to see this island, it was just going to be really difficult to access, so instead I went to Skye. I cannot deny Skye's beauty, but Islay is still sitting there, teasing me. Additionally, ever since I learned that Islay was the crowing place for the Kings of the Isles/Hebrides my desire has grown. I need to see this foot print!

The Island that draws me.

For this little reason

4. Morar Beach

I heard about it almost within my first week of being here. Though I've yet to see it, I've pimped the name out as an attraction and a must see for those wanting to get off the beaten Ben Nevis track. I've been to a place near here, with sand like this and views this spectacular, but I think I'd like to see the beautiful creature herself.

3. Cape Wrath

Firstly, Cape Wrath has an awesome name and I am using awesome in its original definition. Awe inspiring cliffs, jagged slopes and a distant rurality that reminds me with a breath of home, but so much more distant, so much more magical in its construction, or deconstruction as its the waves that break apart the gorgeous cliff faces.

2. Pitlochary to Fort William via the Cairngorms

I've actually been here. What I'd like to do is to learn to drive the confounded standard vehicles over here and be able to explore them with a little more independence. They were beautiful, especially in the fall and it would be nice to travel along them and see the farm land stretch in to rugged mountain.

1. Callanish Stone Circle

On the Outer Hebrides there resides a set of stone circles, that to me hold more intrigue than Stonehenge.
